daffodils

JUMPER - H&M, SKIRT AND SANDALS - TOPSHOP, BAG - RIVER ISLAND, SUNNIES - RAYBAN (SISTER'S)

COULD YOU GET PHOTOS THAT WERE ANY MORE SPRING LIKE? I FEEL LIKE A BIT OF A CLICHE.

DAFFODILS ROCK, THEY JUST MAKE EVERYWHERE LOOK BRIGHT, EVEN WHEN THE SUN ISN'T OUT. SHAME THEY DON'T LAST VERY LONG AS SOON AS IT GETS TOO WARM. TOO WARM?! WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT.. IT CAN NEVER GET TOO WARM IN ENGLAND.

THE SHEERNESS OF THIS SKIRT MAKES ME FEEL A BIT NAUGHTY. YOU CAN JUST ABOUT SEE THE LINE WHERE THE UNDERSKIRT STOPS, AND IT'S PRETTY HIGH UP. LET'S JUST SAY THAT IF I HAPPEN TO BEND OVER, PEOPLE MIGHT GET A BIT OF AN EYE-FULL.

BLAZER - H&M, SUNNIES - ALDO, JEANS AND SHIRT - ZARA, BOOTS - ASOS

FOUND THIS GORGEOUS LITTLE PLACE IN LEICESTER, AND COUPLED WITH A SUNNY AFTERNOON IT MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS IN SOME PLACE FAR MORE EXOTIC.

AGAIN, SORRY ABOUT THE CRAZY AMOUNT OF USAGE OF THESE JEANS, I'M JUST SO OVER MY WINTER WARDROBE OF BLACKS AND GREYS. YOU'LL PROBABLY SEE ME IN MY NEW BLUE SKIRT JUST AS MUCH BECAUSE I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF COLOUR.

GOING BACK HOME TO SEE MY FAMILY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY NEXT WEEK, SO THE NEXT FEW OUTFIT POSTS WILL HAVE A TOUCH ESSEX GLAMOUT TO THEM...

cold colours, warm weather

Skirt, Sandals, Top - Topshop. Sunglasses, Knit Top, Lace Dress - H&M

Last weekend I had my big national cheerleading competition, which consisted of lots of waiting around Birmingham. What better way to kill time than a few hours shopping..

I literally could not resist any of these items. The blue chiffon skirt is one that I've had my eye on for ages so snapped it up quickly. I then spotted these sandals, and gave them a try, only to find that by some miracle my feet don't look revolting like they usually do in sandals.

The mint coloured silk top is my favourite of the items, with the cut-out back and the colour that really shouldn't work on me but for some reason does..

The H&M lace dress made me feel like I was in a SS11 D&G campaign, what girl wouldn't want to feel like that? And the knit top and sunnies are just some stylish basics.

Know can someone please put a lock on my purse please?

black and white

Top - Topshop, Leggings, Cuff - eBay, Sunglasses - Aldo

I'm back in business after one of the longest weekends of my life. Then again, if I can handle two 5am starts in a row I reckon I can handle pretty much anything.

Enjoy the sunshine guys.

half way there

Apologies for being a bit MIA this week, it's mainly due to the fact that my internet is on the fritz and I've suffering from that well known self-induced illness.

I'd say that spring is halfway here, the suns out but it's still so bloody cold it feels like my hands/ feet/ face will fall off when I walk to uni.

So all we need now is the warmth. But in typical British fashion, at the first hint of sun we all try and make the most of it, hence the cider in the beer garden. We lasted about 5 minutes, even with the patio heater before giving up and drinking inside..

I'm wearing my infamous orange trousers in a much more casual way here, they are officially my favourite item of the season.

nuts about you

Here's the necklace that was skillfully made with my own bare hands. It's loosely based on a mixture of the necklaces by Proenza Schouler and Marni.

spring neutrals

Cardigan - Zara, Hat - Topshop, Jumper - H&M, Shorts - River Island, Bag - Fossil, Boots - ASOS, Cuff - eBay

There's those squinty eyes I was talking about earlier.

Apparently most of England experienced a beautifully sunny day, unfortunately where I live it managed to stay like this for a few precious hours and then pissed it down with rain for the rest of the day. Typical.

My boyfriend hates this hat, so I mainly wear it to get back at him. Luckily, I was the one laughing  when it started to rain.

You can also see the kind of outfits that I pair with MAC's Morange lipstick. This is a pretty neutral  outfit, great for transitioning to spring.

morange

My name's Katie and I'm addicted to orange, more specifically morange.

Here's my new lipstick from Mac (obviously).. that I plan on using to death this summer.

I've already had a few odd looks but I say screw 'em.

Until the general public can understand the trend that is bright lippy, I've taken to dabbing it on with a touch of lip balm for a more subtle look. Well, as subtle as orange can get.

Also did a bit of cheeky photo editing. So what's the verdict?

it's about time

Jeans - Zara, Blazer, Shirt, Jumper - H&M, Sunglasses - Aldo, Shoes - New Look, Necklace - eBay

Yeah, it's about bloody time the sun came out.

I could say that I wore this on my way to do something really stylish and interesting, but in reality I was on my way to get some Chinese food...

The sun coming out for spring is a great time for us British folk, but whilst being able to go out sans coat is fantastic, there are some drawbacks. As you can see I'm one of those little pale people with eyes that are just as pale, so you can bet that when there's a bright sunny day, a squinty eyed outfit post will follow.

I also suffered one of those situations where there's nothing but sun when I take my sunglasses off, and then it's suddenly cloudy the minute I stick them back on. The proof is in the lighting of these photos.
