for sale

Turns out I've been spending a little bit beyond my means, so I'll be selling quite a large portion of my belongings on eBay.

One of the items is this lovely little vintage leather purse. If it takes your fancy you can bid on it here.
And check out all my other bits and pieces here.

backed up against a wall

Coat, Shorts - Topshop, Blazer - H&M, Blouse -Zara, Bag - Vintage

These were taken yesterday, the first day I've felt fully better since I got ill. What better way to celebrate than to walk around town and freeze my butt off? Probably not the wisest thing to do, but when you've been in bed for a whole week it's a relief.
The fact it was so cold is why these photos look so awkward, but luckily you can't fully see how pink my nose was.
On a completely unrelated topic, I've been learning how to do a forward hand-spring for cheer, and tonight I finally nailed it! Can't quite believe I can manage it. May still be pooping myself when it comes to doing it in front of a crowd at our next competition though..

keep me posted

Recently got this Bali ear cuff and post and now I can't take it off. I love it, and it's so comfortable I forget it's even there. I love jewelry like this, different, but still simple and delicate.

Just went to see Black Swan with my man, lets just say it's a bit of a head f*ck.. and I would definitely recommend leaving your parents at home for this one.

you can find us in the herb garden

On the saturday the boy and I had a lovely afternoon in Greenwich Park, picnicking on wine, pesto and baguettes. If you never been to Borough market, you have to go next time you're in London, the food there is amazing, this pesto is the best I've ever had.

So many random things happened during this picnic, firstly this dog coming and paying us a visit, then a newly married foreign couple coming to take their wedding photo's 10 meters away from us. It was quite surreal.

Jumper - Vintage, Jeans - Zara, Shoes - H&M, Hat - Topshop

Sorry about the picture overload, trust me I really narrowed it down.

It was seriously cold on this day, my hands felt like they were going to drop off every time I reached for another piece of bread. I am 100% a warm weather girl, so I can't wait till summer. I think people are crazy when they say they love winter and being cold, what's so great about numb toes and mascara running down your face from the cold?

stilettos and cobbled streets

Blazer - Zara, T-Shirt - Forever 21, Skirt - ASOS, Boots - Office

You've gotta love London, trouble is the train fares have soared, which I don't love.
Here's what I wore to a fancy dinner with my handsome man, who hates taking these blog photos.

I've been stuck in bed all day because I've been feeling like death warmed up, which is very unlike me. Dragged myself to the doctors and it turns out that I have tonsillitis and severe tension headaches. They're completely unrelated, it just seems that the universe wasn't happy with giving me just one illness, I deserved two. The result is that I can barely move and barely swallow and I have to take over 30 tablets a day. Fun fun fun!

stylish blogger award

I was lucky enough to receive one of these Stylish Blogger Awards from Christina&Co.

    world.

                                        the airport..
5. I don't really believe in God, but I believe in Heaven, I know thats messed up, I think it's just
    wishful thinking.

london calling

Jumper - H&M, Shorts - River Island, Bag - Fossil, Hat - Topshop, Coat - Vintage, Boots - Oasis, Glasses - Rayban

Arriving into London St Pancras station to meet my man, wearing my comfy train outfit. As you can see I bought those River Island shorts I was lusting after a few weeks ago.

And yes, I'm wearing glasses, I'm meant to wear then all the time but I always forget, but getting trains is one of the times I need them the most, there's nothing worse than reading the boards wrong and hopping on the wrong train..

bobbi you're the best

Bobbi Brown Eye Corrector Cream in 'Light Bisque'

I very rarely go back to the same product again and again, but this one is an exception. As I've literally just got my next pot, I thought I'd show it to you in all it's pristine glory, before I get my grubby fingers into it.

This does exactly what it says on the tin, well, pot..
Having terribly pale skin means that naturally you can see my under-eye bags from a mile off. Whether I've had a full nights sleep or not. Luckily this lovely creamy formula comes to my rescue. I think one of the great things about it is that it doesn't dry out my skin, which is really important. Who wants dry wrinkly eyes? I sure don't.

But to me, probably the best thing about it of all is the packaging. Sometimes it doesn't matter how good the product is, if it doesn't look nice, I won't get it. Bobbi Brown always gets this right, the packaging is simple yet sophisticated, and the continuation of black throughout her products makes it just a little bit sexy.

Anyway, beauty advice over now. I'm off to London.. Have a great weekend everyone.

playtime

These are just some random shots I took while getting to grips with my sexy new camera.

The difference in quality is insane, needless to say I am very happy with it.

If anyone has any tips on the Canon EOS 1000D, please send them my way..

the denim double take

Denim Shirt - Zara, Jeans - Topshop, Clutch - Mango, Shoes - Office

Having a go at the double denim trend that will be around for ss11. It's a very relaxed and comfortable outfit, what do you think?

I'd like to say a whopping great thank you to all the followers and all the lovely comments people have been leaving me, cheers guys!

I'm also really excited about the fact that today I went and bought my first digital slr camera. It was painful handing over that kind of cash, but hopefully it will be worth it. I'm in London all weekend visiting my man, so posts may be a bit slow, but I should get lots of lovely photo's to show you, courtesy of my new camera.

Have a great weekend everyone.

a little something I made earlier

Today I've been doing a little d.i.y. styling...

I got this vintage cashmere knit jumper, and then got the pyramid studs from eBay, with this idea in mind.

I've had to two components for ages, but didn't get round to doing it until today.
Although it was a little bit trickier to get the studs in the right place, I would recommend putting these on anything just because they are so cheap, but look great.
Overall I'm quite pleased with the result. It definitely doesn't look professional, because some of them are a little wonky, but I'm telling myself that it adds to the charm. I would also have liked to add more for a more dramatic effect, but I ran out of studs...

Note: stepping on upside down studs in bare feet is not fun, they will stick right into the soles of your feet and make you bleed quite a bit. Lesson learnt!

the asos ss11 atelier collection

Here are some sneak peek images of the Atelier collection that ASOS is bringing out for ss11. The collection will arrive on the site mid-february/march.

How lovely is the feminine transparency in the first picture, combined with the sporty feel from the underwear. I'm not sure how wearable it would be, considering most of the general public wouldn't understand the visibility of your underwear, but the bag would do nicely.

As for the second outfit, it's cute, but I'm not really a t-shirt and pretty skirt kind of girl. And I know I couldn't get away with the shape of the trousers in the last outfit, but I do really love the blue combination, so I'll be trying that out. It all seems to be pretty pastels, very girly.

Lastly, those shoes... I can't get enough of that perspex heel. I think it will be hard for me not to buy them. Although I can't help thinking that the cream suede toe won't last 2 minutes.. I've never been very good at keeping my shoes in good condition, I really don't know how others manage it.

take a look inside

Knit and Skirt - Both H&M

Just thought I would show you my room at university.
As well as fashion, I'm really into interior design, so when i moved into my new house in september, I couldn't wait to turn the plain room into somewhere stylish that I could happily spend 60% of the year in.
In the summer I raided car boot sales and picked up most of the pieces you can see on the shelves, as well as the red frames, which I hand-painted.
My favourite part of the room has got to be that fireplace, it's the prettiest part of the whole house and it's a bit weird that it's even there.
I also love my vintage trunks, my plant, and the lamp that my man got me for christmas. What do you think?

Quick outfit post and the end, just to show you how I've worn the new skirt.

it would be rude not to

The other day I walked past shoe-store Office and decided to go in just for the sake of looking at shoes, as you do.
Had a browse through the sale racks with not really expectations as I'm a size 6, possible the most common size out there, so all the nice shoes get taken before I even prepare myself for sale shopping.
However, someone must have been looking down on me nicely that day, because I stumbled across these little beauties. This made me very happy for three reasons:

1. I've been looking for something like this for a while.
2. There was only this one pair left and they just so happened to be in my size.
3. The best reason of all... These babies only set me back  £10!!

Now, I don't know about you, but coming across quality leather shoes, in a decent style, for that kind of price is something I've never encountered before. I probably would have bought them even if I didn't like them.

As you can imagine I was on top of the moon. Jealous much ladies?

model duties

Today I modeled a dress my friend Holly had made so it could be marked. It's meant to be the kind of thing you'd find in Allsaints. Luckily it fit, because I hadn't tried it on at all before then and hadn't taken any measurements either..
I loved the little dangly bits, made out of nuts and bolts.

blackout

Here's what I've been spending my student loan on..

The dress consists of a ribbed knit dress, with a racer back and really low cut neckline and armholes. Then there's a cropped long sleeve top made of the same material, linked into it.
It's a real drama to get on, but the end result means that everything is covered, except your sides, which are exposed where the top ends and the dress begins a little lower down. Sounds horrible? Don't worry, it doesn't look as bad as it sounds. I liked that it was quite unusual, it's not an area that gets much show, and because the rest of me is covered up it doesn't look too trashy.
It also reminded me of things I've seen Rumi Neely wear (fashiontoast).

And a biker style skirt. The pocket panels are imitation leather which is more noticeable than in this photo.

These were bought after I'd already told myself that I shouldn't be buying any more black.. looks like I'm failing that already.

Top, Jeans - Topshop, Knuckle Ring, Boots - ASOS, Coat - Vintage

Just a quick outfit post of what I wore on a day of shopping, university and handing out CV's. Sorry about the poor quality of the photos, really need to save up for a fancy camera.
I managed to score this vintage coat for a FIVER! I love finding a fashion bargain.
